Anastasia Inopina, is a Russian, 26-year-old, Moscow-based journalist and feminist activist. After the announcement of the "special mission", as it is called by Vladimir Putin, and the invasion of Ukraine, she decided to leave her country. She chose Bishkek, where she has friends. She is a student of philosophy in St. Petersburg and an art critic. She is furious and sad about the war and wonders if Europe will be able to maintain sanctions against Putin. During her post-Soviet childhood, the heating was often turned off, and the walls of her flat were covered with layers of ice.
Location

    Exiles

    A dissident actress in Cuba, a photographer in Pakistan or an Afghan musician exiled in Kyrgyzstan, the people featured in this series of portraits have their lives challenged by their circumstances and the detrimental politics of their countries. In a mental or geographical exile, they all share a strength made of resilience mingled with vulnerability, an urge to live and fight and a peculiar inner world.
