Portrait of Mico Sreynoch Khun, dancer and choreographer. Phnom Penh, Diamond Island, November 2022 She grew up in Siem Reap, in a village in the vicinity of the famous Angkor temples. As a young girl, she used to sell souvenirs to tourists. With Ah Nilai, her partner, for over ten years, she creates choreographies that explore societal pressure and mental health issues. She knows how one can be in exile in one's own country, and her dance expresses it.

Exiles
A dissident actress in Cuba, a photographer in Pakistan or an Afghan musician exiled in Kyrgyzstan, the people featured in this series of portraits have their lives challenged by their circumstances and the detrimental politics of their countries. In a mental or geographical exile, they all share a strength made of resilience mingled with vulnerability, an urge to live and fight and a peculiar inner world.
